Hello Parents
Due to the Islamic New Year, we have had to postpone the Parents Open Day until next Saturday 1st November. We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused and hope you can all make the new date to discuss your child's progress so far.
This week we've firmly gotten back into the swing of things and begun the week by introducing the letter C and the number 7.
The children also learnt about mixing colours and the oval shape.
(Children raise their hands and snap fingers together, as if they are playing castanets)

Our phonics teacher Miss Mai used flash cards of simple objects beginning with letter C and the Jolly Phonics C song to reinforce the letter's sound.
Note: The children were taught the 'hard c', which is pronounced CK phonetically. They will be introduced to the 'soft c' later during reception.
