Hello Parents
Apologies for the late post, we've been very busy this week in the Early Years Unit 1 and 2 revising past letters, numbers and shapes.

THEME
We stayed with healthy eating in anticipation of our school trip to Sena Mart in Al Waha Mall on Saturday.
The children decorated shopping bags and designed their own healthy plate.
The trip was a great success, the children chose from a range of food items and were able to differentiate between good, healthy choices and bad, unhealthy choices:
Literacy
We revised the letters, a s t and p this week using the silly soup, flash cards and jolly phonics songs.
We also watched short videos of stories about the letters:
In addition to colouring and tracing sheets, the children had fun trying to find the different letters hidden around the centre time.
The children revisited all the numbers from 1-8 and all of the colours and shapes they've learnt so far:
Colours:
Red
Yellow
Green
Blue
Orange
Purple
White
Shapes:
Square
Triangle
Diamond
Rectangle
Circle
Star
They chose and made their favourite shapes using coloured sticks in addition to completing sheets.
We also looked at the concept of same and different using this fun video of a game to play with your child at home:
Here are some links to sheets you may wish to print and then complete with your child:
Shapes Tracing & Colouring

Week 12 the children will be introduced to the letter e, number 9 and the colour brown.
