Nursery children have been learning all sorts of skills this week. In particular they have been playing cooperative games and learning how to wait their turn and share. They had lots of fun today during role play; they pretended to visit the doctor and dentist and discussed different expressions and feelings. They have been learning how to brush their teeth to keep them clean and white. They helped their teachers to decorate toothbrush holders for their groups. They have been looking at sounds that are made by different objects in the environment.
Preschool children have been busy learning the letter 't' along with the sound it makes. They have made crafts that begin with the letter 't' including 'taxis' and 'triangular trees'. They have been learning to recognise the number 3 and to count 3 objects carefully. Continuing with the theme of 'Ourselves/All About Me', they made houses from squares, triangles and rectangles and discussed the people who live with them in the family home.
