Week 23

Nursery children have been continuing the pet theme this week and have made hedgehogs, mice and spiders.  They have been doing worksheets that help with their pencil control, tracing skills and cognitive skills.    They have done Letters and Sounds activities from page 15 'Which Instrument?', page 16 'Matching Sound Maker', page 17 'Animal Sounds',  'Hidden Instruments' and 'Musical Show and Tell'.  Daily, they practice names of animals, body parts, counting to 10, the alphabet, colours and shapes, singing songs, dancing and riding the tricycles and bicycles.

Preschool children have learnt the letter, sound and song for 'e'.  They have learnt many objects that begin with the letter e and have extended their knowledge through craft activities.  They have been practising counting to and recognising the numbers from 1-15. As they have been learning about zoo animals, they have done several craft activities based around these types of animals.  They have practised same and different and are now excellent at using rhyming words.  The letter for next week (week 24) will be 'u' and the children will revise numbers 1-5.
